PIGS!!

I seem to be drawing a lot of pigs these days. Here’s a very muddy pig, happily sitting in a mud puddle.

Speaking of Pigs, I just recieved a copy of “It’s Not Just for Breakfast Anymore” by PV Lundqvist with cover art by yours truly. It’s the story of a young boy and his pet pig. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I’m looking forward to it. You can get your own copy on Amazon…

A speaking of pig books (there’s a theme to this blog post) don’t forget to check out the book I wrote. “The Wolf and Pig Report” is my retelling of the story of the three little pigs.  Did you know the real reason the house of sticks was built or why the big bad wolf terrorized pigs in the first place?  My book tells all.  Well, actually, you won’t learn any real facts, but it’s funny and full of my illustrations as well.  You can find it on Amazon and Lulu.com

Penguin!

Yesterday was “Penguin Awareness Day” and I missed it.

So sorry about that.  Here is this little guy to prove that I’m aware of penguins, no matter what day it is.

Tiger with Beanie

Now that I’ve re-done my website, I want to be more diligent about producing work for this blog.  Here is the first of (hopefully) a series of cartoon character designs.  What do you think?

New Site!

As you have hopefully noticed, I have completely overhauled this website. I’ve completely changed the portfolio pages. There’s a lot of new artwork, and in an easier to see format.  Take a few moments to check it out, and then leave your comments here. I’d love to know what you think about the new site.  You can also report any bugs you find (but hopefully there won’t be many…)

If you like the illustrations on this site, then you’ll definitely enjoy the new calendar I illustrated.  It’s 12 months of quality illustrations featuring a variety of fun scenes and interesting characters.  The month of June features Charlie Croc, from the Crazy Cal Presents webcomic site, making this calendar a must have for all his fans. You can purchase your copy here.

Turkeys

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US! And, to everyone outside the country, happy Thurday!

The Haunted House

Happy Halloween, everyone!

House

Here’s a not very scary haunted house and a look at the family that lives in it. Click the image to enlarge it.

The house is real object I built and photographed. This is only the second time I’ve tried merging hand-made objects with my illustrations.  The first was this castle. What do you think?

Flying through Space

SpaceRace

The Great Space Race. Who will get to Mars first?

The guy piloting the rocket on the top left is Crazy Cal. He’s best known as the host of my comic website, Crazy Cal Presents.  If you like my illustrations, you’ll probably like that as well, so please check it out!

Donald Hulk and Spider-Mouse

Disney bought Marvel Comics. I just had to draw something to commemorate the news.

So here is Donald Hulk and Spider-Mouse for your enjoyment…

Donald Hulk and Spider-Mouse

Of course, Spider-Man, Hulk, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse are copyright and trademark their respective owners.

Sitting Idle

window

With her wrist broken, Sally couldn’t do anything but sit idly and stare blankly out the window.

This illustration is a bit of a stretch for me, I don’t usually do anything this geometric.

Sorry that I’ve been really slow in updating this blog lately. I’ve been busy with a variety of projects. If you need a more regular dose of my work, please check out my web-comic at www.crazycal.com I think you’ll like it!
