Something Different: The Castle

As an artist, I’m always trying to stretch myself,  I like to find new ways to do things. For this image, I wanted to do something different than my usual illustration. So I built the castle out of cardboard and photographed it.  The hand-drawn characters were inserted into the image using Photoshop. This was significantly more time consuming than I expected it to be, but I think I got a great image out of it.   What do you think?

  1. I think it made it look like you know how to light and shadow perfectly! I didn’t even realize it was a photo.

  2. i wonder how long it took you to do that on photoshop.. looks like you had to work with many layers there and then add the shadows the dragon is casting which must have been pretty hard to do!
